In a community-wide emergency, or severe weather event, the fire department
may need to get critical information to members of our community
quickly. One way we can do this is through our regional dispatch
agency's notification service called Code Red.
This is provided free of charge to our community through Hanover Dispatch.
However, such systems are only as good as the telephone number database supporting them. If your phone number is not in the database, you will not be called. One of the reasons the CodeRED system was selected is it gives individuals and businesses the ability to add their own phone numbers directly into the system’s database.
This system already includes most wired telephone numbers. But it does not include cell phones, voice over internet protocol (VoIP) phones or unlisted numbers. Telephone service from Comcast or EC Fiber are VoIP. If you have those types of phone numbers, you must register with CodeRED to receive the emergency calls. You can register your home phone, cell phone, and email addresses. TDD/TTY requirements can also be entered. If you do not have internet access or wish to register with our Dispatching Service directly, please call Doug Hackett of Hanover Dispatch, at (603) 640-3333 to supply your information. Required information includes first and last name, street address (locatable physical address, no P.O. boxes), city, state, zip code, and primary phone number. Additional phone numbers can be entered as well. The data collected will be used only for emergency notification purposes.
We work hard to keep our community safe and provide the most up-to-date emergency information possible. You can help us by registering your phone number with our notification service so you can be sure to receive emergency messages. We respect your privacy and will only use this service in a true emergency.
